N-Acetyl Selank Amidate
N-Acetyl-Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro-NH2
Overview
N-Acetyl Selank Amidate (NASA) is the acetylated amidated analog of Selank following the same chemical modification strategy as N-Acetyl Semax Amidate. The modifications significantly increase potency and duration compared to standard Selank while retaining its anxiolytic cognitive-enhancing and immunomodulatory properties. It is considered the premium form of Selank in research nootropic communities offering greater effect per microgram with longer duration of action.
Mechanism of Action
N-Acetyl Selank Amidate shares Selank's core mechanisms — GABAergic modulation BDNF/NGF upregulation enkephalin regulation and immunomodulation — but with dramatically improved pharmacokinetics. The acetyl and amide modifications protect the peptide from enzymatic degradation at both termini extending its half-life and improving bioavailability across the blood-brain barrier via nasal administration. The result is a compound that produces Selank's characteristic anxiolytic and cognitive-enhancing effects at much lower doses (25-100 mcg vs 250-500 mcg for standard Selank) with effects that last considerably longer. The same caution applies as with NASHA — the increased potency makes precise dosing more important.
Dosage Information
Typical Dose
25-100 mcg per dose
Frequency
Once or twice daily
Administration
Intranasal spray
Notes
More potent than standard Selank — start at 25 mcg. The anxiolytic effects are typically felt within 20-30 minutes of intranasal administration. Well suited for acute anxiety management as needed.
